Pattonville High School
Pattonville finished up a successful winter season in 2022-23. We wrapped up a pool championship in girls basketball and girls wrestling, had state qualifiers in boys and girls wrestling, and state qualifiers in girls swim.
Girls Basketball: The girls basketball team enjoyed a successful 2022-23 season. They finished the year as 3x conference champions, moving up into the Yellow Pool. They were highly ranked in the area, finishing undefeated in conference and 19-7 overall. The Pirates were led by 3x Conference player of the year, Jasmine Gray, as well as 4 other all conference players. It was one of the most decorated seasons in school history.
Girls Swim: Girls Swim and Dive Season finished a successful 2022 season. We were a successful young team with many new athletes Jenna Ridings and Emma Eiswirth swam state consideration times in individual events, and set six school records. The 200 Medley Relay also qualified for state and set a new school record.
Boys Basketball: The boys basketball team went through a rebuilding season after successful runs the prior three years, finishing 7-18. Many underclassmen gained valuable experience for the coming years. The Pirates were lead by seniors all conference selections Tory Allen and Jayden Essex.
Boys Wrestling: The boys team continued to rebound in participation numbers following COVID, getting over 50 wrestlers out this year. They were 17-1 in dual meets. All Conference selections were 2nd teamers Stefon Brown, Paulie Palermo, Mekhi Brown, and Robert Walker. The Pirates were led by state qualifier, district champ and Conference Wrestler of the Year, Daveon Washington.
Girls Wrestling:Girls wrestling season was a success with 15 dual wins and 1 loss. We had a full Varsity roster and a JV team. The girls wrestling team had multiple tournament placers at each tournament throughout the season and ended the season winning conference. Jasmine Gordon qualified for state. Girls wrestling at PHS has continued to grow each year, we are looking forward to next season and are excited for more girls to join our program.
