WINTER 22-23 Season Review – Parkway South HS

Girls Swim and Dive– WON the class 2 swim and dive championship. This is the first championship in program history. The Patriots held the lead from the first event all the way until the end.

Individual results are as follows…Kylee Sullivan repeated as the 200 IM state champion breaking the state record in the process. She also was the 100 FL champion and her time broke her school record. She was the only swimmer in the meet with 4 first place finishes. Logan Knolhoff placed 3rd in the 50 FR and 5th in the 100 BK posting a lifetime best. Alayna Henage placed 4th in the 200 IM and narrowly missed becoming a state champion in the 100 BR coming in 2nd. Lucy Price placed 8th in the 200 FR and 6th in the 500 FR. Hannah Fitch placed 10th in the 200 IM and 9th in the 100 BR. Mia Muckerman placed 16th in the 200 FR and 14th in the 100 FR.

Our 200 Medley Relay of Logan, Alayna, Kylee and Lucy won in a new school record time. Our 200 FR relay of Logan, Mia, Alayna, and Kylee repeated as state champions while breaking the school record AND are now the state record holders. The 400 FR Relay of Mia, Carly Shaffer, Hannah, and Lucy closed out the meet with a 9th place finish.

They competed their hearts out. This team only graduates one senior, and looks forward to building back towards continued success.

Boys/Girls Wrestling– Three boy and two girl state qualifiers. Janiah Jones 131 lbs. Class 2 State Champion. She is the first female wrestling state champion.

Dance – Hip Hop won State Championship for Hip Hop in Division 5.

Girls Basketball– 20 win season and Parkway Tip-Off Champs.

Boys Basketball – Won 15 games.
