Webster Groves High School
The 2023 spring sports season at Webster Groves High School was highlighted by our boys volleyball team advancing to the Class 3 state championship game for the 2nd time in 3 years. The Statesmen finished the season with a 19-10-1 state runner-up record. They are looking forward to Men’s Volleyball becoming a MSHSAA sanctioned sport next Spring.
Our boys track team sent their District Champion 4×800 team to State consisting of Corbin Cole, Joe Wetzel-Meehan, Dominic Buckman & Colton Richardson.
Sam Murdoch qualified for State as well as being the District Champ in the 300 m hurdles.
Our girls Lacrosse Team finished off their season with a 12-4 record after only winning one game the previous year. We also had 2 state qualifiers in golf, George Lock & Ben Jordan.
Lastly our inaugural water polo team, co-oping with University City, finished off an impressive first year finishing up above .500. Including an improbable first round playoff win over John Burroughs, before bowing out to Parkway West. Congratulations on a great first season.
