KIRKWOOD BOYS BASKETBALL WINS 4 GAMES IN 5 DAYS TO CAPTURE THE CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE DON MAURER HOLIDAY INVITATIONAL
Kirkwood Boys Basketball team brings home the Championship of the Don Maurer Holiday Invite over the Holiday Break by winning 4 games in 5 Days. They started the tournament with a solid win over Parkway Central 67-37. The Pioneers defeated Whitfield in the Quarterfinal round by the score of 71-52. In the semifinal round vs the #2 seed, Ladue Rams, the Pioneers stormed back after being down by 16 to start the 4th quarter and won 64-59. The Pioneers continued their strong defensive effort, while being led by Sr. Aydan Trawick(17 Points) and hung on to defeat the #1 seed, MICDS Rams 52-44. The Pioneers are now 8-0 on the young season and are led by a strong senior class while Sr. Christian Huges and Sr. Javaris Moye were named to the All-Tournament Team.
