Pattonville High School
Pattonville fall sports teams and individual athletes achieved remarkable success in the 2023 season. Their hard work, dedication, and teamwork led to outstanding performances and victories, showcasing their talent and commitment to excellence.
Girls Volleyball: The girls volleyball team at PHS had a successful year, demonstrating remarkable improvement in their skills and strong teamwork. Their dedication and hard work truly paid off, making this season a memorable and successful one. With a record of 25-11-2, the team earned the Conference Championship title for the third consecutive year. Senior Kylie Surratt and junior Reagan Nelson both achieved career milestones, breaking the record for number of digs and kills. Reagan also broke the record for number of aces. The duo was named All Conference Co-Players of the Year. Kylie Surratt was named to the All Region team by the American Volleyball Coaches Association. Surratt was also among the top 50 athletes nationwide to be named to the AVCA All-American 3rd Team.

Softball: The softball program continues to rebuild and saw many improvements in their young team throughout the season. Senior Allison Pearia was named to First Team All Conference-Infield and First Team All District. Jalisa Thomas tied the record for most triples hit in a season with 4. Jalisa Thomas, Ashley Santel, and Liv Ball were named to Second Team All District. Jalisa Thomas and Ashley Santel were also named to Second Team All Conference

Boys Swim and Dive: The swim team had an exceptional winning season, demonstrating their skill, determination, and teamwork in the pool. Their hard work and commitment to excellence resulted in numerous victories, making this season a true testament to their talent and dedication. The boys swim and dive team earned the championship title at the Fort Zumwalt Relay Invitational at the beginning of October before starting their preparations for post-season competition. Senior Adam Reddy was named Conference Champion in the 1M Dive, earned 3rd in Districts, and qualified for State. The Swim and Dive team sent five members to state; Ethan Alana, Ian Artelt, Jack Pfister, Kaden Camenzind, and Adam Reddy. Each earned personal best times in their events.
Football: The Pirates team finished with a record 4-6 record. The future of PHS football looks bright as the underclassmen gained valuable
experience this year and together with their seniors did their best to be competitive and represent our school and program with pride, honor, and spirit.
First Team All Conference: Terrell Porter Jr., Defensive End, DeAndre Rush Jr., Punt Returner.
Second Team All Conference: DeAndre Rush Jr., Wide Receiver, Michael Allen Jr., Tight End, Evan Bryant, Offensive Line, Jordan Kedl Thomas, Defensive Back, Mekhi Allen, Linebacker, 87 Bryan Orta, Kicker.
Girls Tennis: The girls tennis team achieved a strong record and even doubled the number of winning matches over last season. The program was also excited to have welcomed many new participants. The team doubled their wins Their involvement contributed to the growth and success of the team. They look forward to continuing to build on this positive momentum in the future. Senior Norina Shao and sophomore Savannah Ewing earned All Conference honors this season.
Boys Soccer: The boys soccer program increased its talent pool with the addition of several highly skilled individuals. Their contributions have enhanced the overall strength and potential of our team, and we are eager to see the positive impact they will have on our program. The season was highlighted by an exciting overtime with overtime win over Hazelwood West and senior Andrew Swartwout was named Conference Defensive Player of the Year.
Boys Cross Country: The JV and Varsity Boys Cross Country teams had a successful season with top invitational finishes, demonstrating their hard work and dedication. The JV team finished 2nd at the Paul Enke Invitational, 1st at the Terry Meatheany Invitational, and 2nd at the Clayton Invitational. The Varsity team placed 2nd at the Paul Enke Invitational, 1st at the Terry Meatheany Invitational, and were 2nd in their pool at the St. Louis Suburban Conference Meet. The Varsity team finished 7th out of 17 teams in a tough District meet. Senior Luke Stevenson had a great season finishing 1st at both the Paul Enke and Dale Shepherd Invitationals. He also earned All State honors and placed 13th at the State meet.
Girls Cross Country: The Girls Cross Country team collaborated and grew as a team, while also celebrating individual achievements. Freshman Margareth Mendoza medaled in every race that she ran, except Districts. The JV team had a successful season, earning 2nd place at the Clayton Invitational. In addition, 4 girls ran at the District meet: Juniors, Kaylee Corona Damian, Addison Swanson, Makayla Gordon, and freshman Margareth Mendonza.
Girls Golf: The Lady Pirates golf team had a solid season on and off the golf course. Led by senior Tehya Cox-Potter and junior Zelletta Wyatt, the Lady Pirates finished the season with an overall record of 5-3-1. Congratulations are extended to senior Tehya Cox Potter and junior Zelletta Wyatt for earning 1st Team All-Conference honors. Sophomores Alex Wyatt and Annabelle Wyatt, along with freshman Eva Benson earned Honorable Mention conference honors.
