SAMSB Boys Soccer Team
The 22-23 boys soccer team for the STEAM Academy at McCluer South-Berkeley is very amazing. Four years ago, they did not win a game. They were 0-10 in the first year of the new school. The next year, they won one game in a COVID shortened Alternate Fall season. Last year, they were 9-7-1 and conference champions in the Suburban Blue Conference with the offensive and defensive player of the year award winners in the conference and Coach of the Year, Coach Wasim Walker. This year, they were 15-8-1 with two First Team All District selections and a two-time All Conference Player of the Year award winner, Diego Dominguez-Stremmel. Diego has been here since the beginning. He is the most unknown “great” player in the area. He was second in the area in goals scored, second in the area in points and third in the area in assist.
