Fall 2022 Season Summary – Seckman High School

Football

Football finished with the best record in school history, 9-2, including winning the Orange Pool for the second year in a row. This is only the 5thwinning season in 26 season of football at Seckman.

Varsity Boys Soccer

The boys soccer team finished 14-11, including winning the championship of the Hillsboro Tournament.

Josie Lindsey was named as a St. Louis Post-Dispatch Athlete of the Week and Claire Knoll was named a Jefferson County Leader Athlete of the Week.

Volleyball

The volleyball team finished 20-16-2 for the 4thbest record in school history, including a 3rdplace finish at the MICDS Tournament and the SEMO Invitational in the Gold Bracket. Conference Award Winners included:

Girls Golf

The team shot a season low 199 vs Lindbergh and finished 14thof 25 teams at the Lindbergh Tournament. Izzy Murie finished 49thout of 125 golfers.

Band

The marching band won awards at several events, including: 2ndin visual performance at the Edwardsville Tiger Ambush Classic and 2ndoverall at the Fox Invitational.

Six runners qualified for the state tournament including:

  • 3 time qualifiers: Elizabeth Kundert and Ariel Laird
  • 2 time qualifier: Jessica Lane
  • 1st time qualifiers: Angela Ward, TJ Evans and James House
